the first thing i look up whenever i get to a new country is how to say "thank you". i've found that no matter how much of a bumbling idiot i may appear to be a simple "thank you" in the native tongue and a toothy grin is always warmly received. croatia is the first country where i've been truly on my own and it's been a very interesting experience. i feel a combination of absolutely terrified and absolutely exhilarated at the same time. it's a strange feeling of loneliness and also empowerment.
i had a beautiful time in budapest with chris :) he was SUCH a good host and we had a blast laughing and catching up.

budapest is a gorgeous city, i saw maybe one building the entire time that looked somewhat modern. everything else looked like something out of the 19th century, if not earlier.

after some rainy days in hamburg and budapest, the croatian sunshine was soooo nice.

and of course, i had my daily ice cream.

until next time homefries!

Hope that ice cream is good down there in Croatia (but not so good that you forget about Hamburg. Kellinghusenstraße! Tschüß!

hope that croatia is treating you as good as it treated me. if you're like me, you'll get ice twice a day, every day.
